Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Aseptic Technician / Science Manufacturing Technician to join our Pharmacy Aseptic Unit. We provide high quality support to our patients and are looking for a motivated, flexible and forward thinking Technician.
We provide the safe and efficient provision of aseptic chemotherapy and monoclonal antibody products to patients in Somerset Foundation Trust.
We do encourage flexible working so would accept applicants that can work a minimum of 22.5hrs.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
The successful applicant will join our friendly team of assistants, technicians and pharmacists.
Working in our newly refurbished aseptic suite at the Beacon Production Unit, this is a Pharmacy run production unit with specialist equipment to help prepare individual patient treatments safely and efficiently.
You will also help to support, develop and implement Quality management systems to provide reassurance of the safe running of the aseptic unit.

Qualifications
Essential
Good general education to include Science, Maths and English at grades A* to C
Must be able to communicate in English Language, both written and verbally appropriate to the post.
Must have NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent Science Manufacturing .
Desirable
- Accredited to perform pre and in process checks (Band 4 must be willing to undertake accreditation training).
Experience
Essential
Demonstrated experience of working in a Aseptic preparation service.
