Family Hub Navigator x2
Bristol City Council
1 x Permanent Full time 37 hours (North Bristol)
1 x Permanent Part time 22.5 hours (East & Central Bristol)
The Family Hubs and Early Help Support Service supports children, young people and families in their communities through a range of developing and accessible services. We are looking for an experienced and committed Family Hub Navigator to join our team in Bristol.
Working across Family Hub sites and within local communities, you will provide direct support to children, young people and families, helping them to access and engage with Family Hub and wider community services. You will offer early help and preventative support to families who are not open to neighbourhood teams or other statutory services, providing clear information about local support, assisting with referrals and applications, facilitating access to specialist services, and introducing families to additional help through warm, supportive handovers.
You will be the first point of contact for many families, providing a warm, welcoming and informed introduction to Family Hub services. You will engage children, young people and families face to face, helping them to understand their needs and access the right support at the right time.
You will have experience of working with adults, children, young people and families, alongside strong communication and relationship-building skills. You will be confident working in partnership, flexible in your approach, and able to manage a varied workload across different locations, including some outreach and occasional out-of-hours work.
Our Family Hubs service continues to grow and evolve in response to the needs of Bristol’s families and national policy developments. If you are passionate about early help, community engagement and making a real difference, we would love to hear from you.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
