An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Analyst within the UK’s largest and most diverse Trust. The role focuses on developing Business Intelligence solutions to the various Clinical Groups across the Trust and providing in depth analysis to support service improvement initiatives

You will join a dynamic team delivering health intelligence using advanced analytical and statistical techniques, working with tools such as SQL Server, Databricks and Power BI. You will produce clear, impactful insights to inform decision-making and strategy, translating complex data into accessible information for stakeholders.

Strong data communication and visualisation skills are essential to help build a shared understanding of the health and care landscape. The assessment process for this role includes Sphinx testing which an aptitude assessment designed to evaluate critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

The Postholder Will

work closely with the Corporate and Operational teams to provide analytical support to determine future pressures against key deliverables, particularly in relation to the NHS plan and locally commissioned targets.

engage in the analytical work within the Trust to assess capacity and demand for each clinical service, identifying areas of service pressure, undertaking gap analysis and support the production of option appraisals.

provide detailed analysis in order to model demand, resources and throughput to ensure appropriate balance of provision and to identify variances between supply and demand to facilitate discussions of service change, provision or development.

assist the Trust to interpret the available data and provide a judgement on actual performance and the ability to deliver operational plans, using predictive modelling techniques.
