Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Painting Supervisor to oversee painting projects within our organisation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing painting teams, ensuring quality standards are met, and coordinating project schedules effectively. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of decorating processes, and familiarity with using emails. PDF's and job quoting programmes (training can be provided). The Painting Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining safety, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship across all assigned projects. Meeting with clients, quoting jobs, responding to emails will be part of the role. Dropping onto the tools on occasion to help get a job over the line or do small tasks for clients will also be key.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the painting team to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Plan and organise painting schedules.
- Monitor work progress and quality standards, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
- Ensure adherence to H&S regulations at all times on site.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety compliance.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate project updates and resolve any issues promptly.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment required for painting tasks.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a productive team environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project milestones.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising painting teams within construction or industrial environments.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and organise teams effectively.
- Demonstrable supervising experience with a focus on quality control and safety standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Relevant technical knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
- A recognised health & safety qualification is desirable but not essential.
