Mechanical Engineer – Precision Engineering

Location: Taunton (On-site)

Build High-Precision Technology That Powers Real-World Innovation

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering precision components that enable these innovations to perform at the highest level.

This is a hands-on engineering position where you will work on complex, high-precision components in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you enjoy taking designs from concept through to production and solving real-world engineering challenges, this is a role where you can make a tangible impact.

What you will be doing

  • Design and develop precision mechanical components using CAD tools such as SolidWorks
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings, tolerance stacks, and technical documentation to support manufacturing and quality requirements
  • Lead validation activities, from test planning to data analysis and interpretation
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to improve process capability and product performance
  • Drive root cause analysis on complex issues across prototype and production stages
  • Contribute to design reviews, providing clear and practical engineering recommendations

What you will bring

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience with precision design, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Experience working in a precision manufacturing or high-complexity production environment
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to collaborate across functions
