Longacres is looking for an enthusiastic person with a positive, can-do attitude to work in the fast paced, high turnover Seasonal department. Our Seasonal Department is a large department stocking a wide array of different products from BBQs to Garden Furniture.

The successful candidate will have merchandising and retail experience preferably from a Garden Centre background, be a good communicator with a focus on customer service and can work as part of a team and on their own initiative

Store: Chelmsford

Department: Seasonal

Contract: Part time

Hours: 22.5 Hours per week

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • To assist with sales of Garden Furniture, BBQ’s and other seasonal products.

  • Organise customer orders for delivery.

  • Working the weekly deliveries, making sure all shop floor products are priced and correctly merchandised;

  • Help customers with any enquires they may have in store and over the phone;

  • Help with seasonal moves around the store

  • During busy periods helping in other departments may be required.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Experience working within retail sales, with a passion for selling

  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Excellent organisation and housekeeping skills

  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise is essential
