We’re looking for an attentive, outgoing Host with a can-do attitude to help create a seamless and memorable guest experience. A varied and hands-on role, you’ll work across three key areas of our hotel:
- Front Desk – the main point of contact for guests and visitors, creating a warm and welcoming arrival experience
- Swim Club – our indoor-outdoor space for active relaxation, ensuring it is always guest-ready
- Beach Lofts – our collection of beachside accommodation, each with its own unique character
From first contact to final farewell, you’ll play an important part in shaping each guest’s stay, delivering a friendly, efficient and thoughtful service throughout.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Supporting all aspects of the guest journey, from bookings and enquiries to departures.
- Checking guests in and out efficiently and professionally.
- Handling guest requests, including restaurant and treatment bookings.
- Delivering room service orders when required.
- Anticipating guest needs and offering help proactively.
- Resolving guest queries and concerns, escalating where necessary.
- Maintaining strong knowledge of hotel operations, systems and procedures.
- Keeping public areas clean, organised and welcoming.
- Completing daily tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Following all Health & Safety guidelines.
- Working collaboratively as part of the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
- Representing and upholding the Watergate Bay brand in everything you do.
What we’re looking for
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Confident and friendly communication skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience using hotel or property management systems
- Previous Front of House experience, ideally within a hotel environment
- A First Aid qualification (desirable)
- A current Enhanced DBS (preferred)
- Previous Food and Beverage experience (preferred)

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with a flexible shift pattern across five days out of seven, including some weekends and bank holidays.
