Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join a well-established and growing business on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a people-focused organisation where you will play a key role in supporting both employees and the wider leadership team.
The successful candidate will report into senior leadership and manage a small HR team of 3 direct reports. The role is expected to start in August to allow for a full handover period.
This position offers a broad and varied generalist HR remit, covering employee relations, recruitment, payroll support, training and development, HR projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers across the business
- Oversee recruitment activity and support talent attraction initiatives
- Support payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
- Monitor HR KPIs and provide reports and recommendations to management
- Manage employee relations matters in line with UK employment legislation and company policy
- Design and deliver management training and development initiatives
- Support organisational change and continuous improvement projects
- Build strong working relationships across departments and leadership teams
- Manage incoming HR communications and maintain a professional HR service
- Lead and support a small HR team, ensuring high standards and performance
Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience
- Strong background within a generalist HR role
- Excellent employee relations knowledge and practical experience
- Up-to-date understanding of UK employment legislation
- Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of the business
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Experience supporting business growth and change initiatives
