The role
The role is required for Logtek Ltd ( part of IPL Schoeller Group) a UK based company formed in 1996. Logtek provides logistics and operational services for the control and management of returnable transit packaging (RTP) – principally plastic trays and bulk containers as used in the grocery and retail supply chain.
Logtek’s Core Functions Are
- Hygienic tray washing via industrial machinery processes
- RTP Rental services
- Equipment repair
- Asset Management of our customer’s RTP utilising bespoke and innovative technology
The role is based at an operational site in Crewe, Cheshire. A 37.5-hour working week across any 5 out of 7 days, operating on a rotational three-shift pattern will apply. This includes early (AM), late (PM), and night shifts, which are scheduled on a rotating basis to support 24/7 depot operations.
As Supervisor for Logtek ( part of IPL Schoeller) you will:
Support the Depot Manager in overseeing depot operations and supervising employees to ensure KPI targets are consistently achieved. Champion HSHE (Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Environment) as a fundamental part of the role, promoting a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture. Drive and motivate team performance to deliver operational excellence.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Supporting all activities associated with the smooth and efficient running of the Depot; tray-washing, equipment rental/repair and depot hygiene.
Main Duties
- Support the Depot Manager in meeting/exceeding KPI targets
- Ensure that Depot function effectively supports the implementation of HSE, Hygiene and HR policies/procedures
- Develop excellent relationships with customers, 3rd Party, and the supply chain
- Work with the Equipment Control Team to ensure that Asset Management protocols and procedures are accurately administered and maintained

Education & Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE Level, or equivalent in Maths and English
- Microsoft Excel/Word (Intermediate Level)
- Microsoft Outlook (email / Teams)

- A conscientious and highly motivated self-starter with ‘can do’ attitude and ability to prioritise
- A natural ability to inspire, lead and develop employees
- Previous work experience working as a supervisor in a fast paced environment
- Experience working in the Retail, Logistics or Manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
