You will join the Ashmolean Museum’s Facilities Team, supporting hard FM across seven Oxford buildings. You will carry out compliance checks, planned and reactive maintenance, respond to building emergencies, liaise with contractors, monitor the helpdesk system and help keep the workshop organised and operational.

You may also support Building Management System monitoring, lighting controls and projects across the museum.

This is a full-time permanent position, working 36.5 hours per week.

Please note that this post is subject to checks necessary for the successful post holder to have a Known Consignor status. You will therefore be required to provide employment and/or education history going back for a full 5 years in your application, as well as a satisfactory Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

About You

You will have experience in hard FM, maintenance or construction, including compliance checks, planned and reactive work, painting and decorating, and responding to building emergencies. You will be organised, self-motivated and able to work alone or as part of a team.

You will have good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. A sound understanding of CDM 2015 and health and safety practice is essential, and experience in a museum, university or cultural setting would be an advantage.
