About the role
Balfour Beatty Rail are recruiting for a Senior CAD Technician to come and join the team and work out of our London, Derby or Redhill offices as well as remotely (working within a Hybrid model) In this role the Senior CAD Technician will be supporting the design engineers in the preparation of Civil and Rail engineering models and drawings
What you'll be doing
To understand and comply with project and function specific standards and practices and tasks.
To assist in the estimation of timescales for a specific task.
To assist in the production of technical literature, enquiry documentation and reports.
To assist in the training of junior members of staff and direct contract/agency personnel & technicians with their duties.
To act safely and work to eliminate hazards at source.
Assist in the compliance with drawing codes of practice and standards.
Work to ensure compliance with Network Rail and TfL drawing standards.
Who we're looking for
Experienced Rail/Civil CAD Technician, or similar industry
Good technical background in engineering modelling and drawing ideally in the rail environment.
Experience of buildings and services drawings.
Good working knowledge of Microstation and Projectwise.
3D capability necessary
AutoCAD experience an advantage.
Civil 3D experience is desirable
