The UK energy sector is undergoing its biggest transformation in decades.

Recruit 4 Construction is recruiting experienced Civils Site Managers to join the delivery team on major High Voltage (HV) Substation and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Merseyside and York.

These are not housing developments.

These are complex infrastructure projects requiring strong leadership, technical understanding and the ability to manage multiple civils packages safely and efficiently whilst working alongside Tier 1 contractors and specialist delivery teams.

THE ROLE

You will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

• Earthworks and groundworks

• Drainage installations

• Ducting and utility infrastructure

• Reinforced concrete structures

• Foundations

• External works

• Section 278 works

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Commercial Teams and Client Representatives, you will be a key figure in driving project success from start to finish.

• Proven experience as a Civils Site Manager

• Previous experience delivering HV Substation, BESS, Power, Utilities or Infrastructure projects

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage subcontractors, labour and plant resources

• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word

• Ability to lead from the front and solve problems quickly

• Strong understanding of health, safety and quality processes

• Experience working directly for a Civil Engineering Contractor or Civils Subcontractor

• Engineering background advantageous but not essential

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• SMSTS

• CSCS Black Card

• First Aid at Work

• EUSR Categories 1 & 2

• Full UK Driving Licence
