Highways Construction Manager

Highways Services are looking for an experienced Highways Construction Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering high‑quality highway maintenance and construction works across the county.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for coordinating and managing works operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. This includes managing staff and operatives, programming and allocating resources efficiently, overseeing sub‑contracted works, and ensuring compliance with all contractual, technical and Health & Safety requirements.

You’ll work closely with Area Managers to plan workloads, prepare project programmes, and ensure accurate setting out and delivery of all assigned schemes.

What we’re looking for

• HNC (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• NVQ Level 4 in Supervision
• Significant experience managing highway maintenance and construction works
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation on highways sites
