Surveyor
Durham County Council
We’re looking for a flexible, self‑motivated Surveyor to join our Corporate Property and Land Service at an exciting time of growth and regeneration.
With a large and diverse estate across County Durham, alongside ambitious regeneration schemes, this is a great opportunity to play a key role in shaping how the Council manages, uses and develops its property assets.
About the role
As part of our proactive estate management team, you’ll support the effective management of the Council’s property portfolio. This includes delivering valuation services, optimising the use and occupation of assets, and identifying opportunities for rationalisation, regeneration or disposal.
You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across the Council, contributing to strategic decision‑making and helping ensure the estate supports service delivery and wider ambitions.
What we’re looking for
- Degree‑level education (or equivalent) supporting membership of RICS or another relevant professional body
- Strong knowledge of property and estate management principles
- Well‑developed organisational, communication and negotiation skills
