Oatlands Park Hotel is seeking a Conference & Banqueting Manager to join our Conference and Banqueting team. We are a luxury 4-star hotel located in Weybridge, Surrey, United Kingdom.

You will be expected to
Reporting to the General Manager, as Conference and Banqueting Manager, you assist in ensuring the day-to-day events /meetings are carried out in line with the departmental and hotel standards providing a high level of customer service.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- To deliver an engaging and dynamic guest experience from welcome to departure from all team members
- Ensuring every event, from corporate meetings to full-scale weddings, is executed to the highest level
- To maintain accurate control of departmental equipment and inventory of all stock and supplies
- To plan the departmental strategy and ensure that business goals and customer service goals are reached
- Produce the weekly Conference and Banqueting rota, ensuring staffing levels reflect business needs
- Ensure that all standards are met with attention to detail to monitor, review, adapt and enforce standard operating procedures
- Ensure all members of the team are fully trained in Health and Safety and Food Safety
- Ensure high levels of hygiene control and health and safety are maintained throughout the venue
- Responsibility for serving food and beverage for private dining, meetings and events and the set up and organisation of the room and the cleaning and resetting of the rooms following the events
- Ensure the that departmental SOP standards are met
- To supervise, train, review and appraise team member’s performance on a regular basis and help to formulate individual learning plans
- To determine departmental KPIs and ensure their delivery
- Assists in providing guidance and direction to subordinates and guests
- Assists in the onboarding of new starters
- Deal professionally with all guest complaints
- Communicate the departmental business issues clearly and concisely to other departments
- To work Duty Manager shifts as per the rota
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Hospitality qualification or working towards would be desirable.
