Estimator & Order Processor

We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated Estimator & Order Processor to join our growing aluminium door and window business, BDC Aluminium, in Witham.

As a key member of the sales team, you will play a vital role in our customers' journeys, providing quotations and order confirmations to both new and existing customers, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will support the Sales team and our regular trade customers, whilst maintaining exceptional communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing quotes and orders in a timely manner
• Providing technical knowledge to both customers and staff where required
• Producing and annotating paperwork prior to manufacture
• Amending customer orders and quotations
• Communicating with customers and suppliers with any queries, technical advice, and order updates
• Chasing order confirmations
• Handling incoming enquiries and providing timely responses
• Keeping in touch with customers to maintain good working relationships and deliver first class customer service
• Updating schedules and spreadsheets daily
• Meeting role related KPI’s and targets
• Always relating to the customer in a professional manner
• Chasing and follow up with customers for updates

What You Bring

• Strong organisational abilities with keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders
• IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Experience of using CRM systems
• An understanding of customer surveys, drawings or plans including section drawings for aluminium glazing
• Customer service skills
• A friendly and polite approach, and positive attitude.
• Eagerness to learn new products and technical details
• High level of motivation
• Knowledge of aluminium windows and doors or previous experience in the fenestration industry would be advantageous
• Understanding building regulations and U-Values would be a benefit in this role

• Competitive salary banding dependent on experience
• Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm, Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
