Are you passionate about compliance and quality assurance? As a Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our commissioned passenger transport contracts for SEND, Mainstream (Home to School), Adult Social Care & Health, and Ad Hoc services meet all contract terms. You will conduct both planned and unannounced compliance checks at designated school sites, monitor provider performance, and escalate any non-compliance issues to protect our service users and uphold the Council’s high standards.

In this exciting role, you will

• Conduct thorough compliance checks to ensure adherence to contract terms.
• Monitor and evaluate provider performance regularly.
• Escalate non-compliance issues promptly to safeguard service users.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of compliance activities.
• Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices in compliance.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• At least 2 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role.
• Full UK driving license and ability to travel across the authority area.
• Knowledge of public sector procurement law and contract law, including EU regulations.
• Familiarity with public sector financial regulations and procedures.
• A strong understanding of the public sector policy environment, including Best Value principles.
