The Heidelberg Materials (HM) International Business Service Centre (BSC) provides administrative, transactional and accounting services to in‑scope HM companies.

Our Chipping Sodbury office is located close to the market town of Yate, offering a range of local amenities and attractions. Set within picturesque rural surroundings, it provides an idyllic and welcoming workspace environment. The location also benefits from excellent transport links, with easy access to both the M4 and M5, making commuting convenient from a wide area. In addition to the setting, employees benefit from free onsite parking and an onsite café, contributing to a comfortable and supportive working environment.

Accounting services

  • Post journals and other uploads into ERP systems accurately and on a timeline basis.
  • Prepare reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and identify risk.
  • Assist with quarterly forecast and annual budget processes where appropriate.
  • Identify and resolve issues arising using the application of accounting principles and sound judgement.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Develop deep knowledge of relevant accounting standards and ERP systems.
  • Investigate non-standard transactions and propose solutions. Provide thorough root cause analysis and outcomes for issues arising,

Customer Service

  • Foster trusted professional relationships with local country accountants
  • Respond to accounting queries quickly, with meaningful and informative resolution.

Education/Qualification

Part qualified accountant, or able to demonstrate the technical knowledge and experience of a part-qualified accountant.
