Role Details

We are seeking to strengthen a dynamic improvement-focused department currently delivering several high-impact initiatives using Six Sigma principles. These projects, and the follow-on improvements they enable, will give the successful candidate the opportunity to help embed and mature Six Sigma methodologies across one of the UK’s most complex construction environments. To be successful in this role, you will ideally hold a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and possess strong networking and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply Six Sigma principles to support the delivery and adoption of DMAIC project management.
  • Coach teams to adopt data-driven problem-solving approaches.
  • Identify and prioritise process improvement opportunities.
  • Plan, facilitate, and drive Six Sigma improvement projects through to completion.
  • Develop clear, agreed, and well-communicated improvement implementation plans.
  • Act as a visible advocate for Six Sigma adoption across the project.
  • Challenge existing practices and demonstrate a willingness to question the status quo.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in continuous improvement environments.
  • Six Sigma qualification (Certified Green Belt preferred).
  • Strong experience in process mapping and analysis.
  • Competence in Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Significant experience using the Microsoft Office toolset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Strong problem-solving capability.
  • Collaborative approach with strong networking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience within construction or major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
