Learning mentors at The Wren help students develop coping strategies, enhance their motivation, raise their aspirations and encourage them to engage as happy and confident learners.

Working alongside other colleagues in school, learning mentors advocate for young people in order to improve their outcomes. With a flexible approach and sense of humour, they look for opportunities to demonstrate to young people that they belong, that they matter and that they can trust the adults around them to support them to be their very best.

The successful candidate will be forward thinking, able to work independently as well as part of a team and be willing to invest time in building relationships with our students.

You do not need a specific qualification to apply for this role and we value experience gained from both employment in education and other careers.

Further information, including details of how to apply, is available on the vacancy page of our website www.wren.excalibur.org.uk

If you would like to discuss this role further, please contact the HR Lead, Lynn Smith, at the school on 0118 214 3888 or ***email_hidden***

The closing date is 9.00am Monday 22nd June 2026;

Interview date Tuesday 30th June 2026.

Please submit your application early as suitable candidates may be invited to interview prior to the closing date.
