About the company
A well-established firm of solicitors with a new opportunity for an experienced Legal Cashier to join the firm in a broad role, directly supporting the Head of Accounts. Ideally looking for someone currently at senior cashier level, or capable of working up to that over coming years. Would suit someone with existing legal cashiering experience or finance experience within the legal industry, strong attention to detail, and the drive to improve existing processes/systems whilst embracing technology.
Responsibilities include
- Posting receipts and cheques
- Processing purchase ledger invoices
- Making payments by bank transfer
- Issuing Cheques
- Administration of client banking
- Dealing with petty cash and register maintenance
- Bank reconciliations
- Production of weekly reports.
Skills/Qualifications required
- Previous experience in a Legal Cashier role.
- Professional, organised, and have excellent attention to detail.
- Although there will be supervision and guidance provided, we require a team member who strives to achieve excellence without constant supervision and thrives on using their own initiative.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be advantageous.
