Your experience and skills

Key Accountabilities-

  • Mark up obstructions for tamping/stone blower operations. Liaise with machine operators and check machine output to present a good standard of work.
  • Supervise on-track machines operations to deliver optimum output.
  • Mark up design lifts and slues and check schemes.
  • Check clearances for tamping/stone blower operations through structures.
  • Plan and undertake site inspections to identify preparatory work for tamping/stone blower operations. Preparatory work to be planned and carried out in liaison with Track Section Managers.
  • Direct and supervise staff allocated to assist on track machine operations.
  • Produce and process paper and electronic records of tamping/stone blower operations in accordance with laid down procedures.
  • Assist with other duties as directed by the Assistant Track Maintenance Engineer.

Essential

  • Knowledge of types on On-Track Machines
  • Knowledge of Track Geometry principles
  • Experienced in track geometry measurement
  • Experience in setting out for On Track Plant

Desirable

  • Track Geometry design knowledge
