Your experience and skills
Key Accountabilities-
- Mark up obstructions for tamping/stone blower operations. Liaise with machine operators and check machine output to present a good standard of work.
- Supervise on-track machines operations to deliver optimum output.
- Mark up design lifts and slues and check schemes.
- Check clearances for tamping/stone blower operations through structures.
- Plan and undertake site inspections to identify preparatory work for tamping/stone blower operations. Preparatory work to be planned and carried out in liaison with Track Section Managers.
- Direct and supervise staff allocated to assist on track machine operations.
- Produce and process paper and electronic records of tamping/stone blower operations in accordance with laid down procedures.
- Assist with other duties as directed by the Assistant Track Maintenance Engineer.
Essential
- Knowledge of types on On-Track Machines
- Knowledge of Track Geometry principles
- Experienced in track geometry measurement
- Experience in setting out for On Track Plant
Desirable
- Track Geometry design knowledge
