The Role
The Professional Development & Individual Player Coach will play a critical role in bridging the gap between Academi football and the Women's First Team. The role is designed to support a cohort of high-potential players who will train regularly with the First Team and gain competitive experience through loan placements within the Adran Premier or Tier 2 environments.
Working full time with the First Team coaching staff, this role will focus on the technical, tactical, and psychological development of individual players, using data, video analysis, and live observation to accelerate readiness for senior football.
Key Responsibilities
Individual Player Development
- Design and deliver individual development plans (IDPs) for high-potential players and emerging senior players.
- Support players transitioning into the First Team training environment.
- Provide regular technical and tactical feedback aligned to First Team game model.
Loan Management & Monitoring
- Oversee the loan programme for designated players placed with Adran Premier or Tier 2 clubs.
- Attend weekly matches to observe loanees in live competitive environments.
- Maintain regular communication with host clubs to align development objectives.
Performance Analysis & Insight
- Use data, video analysis, and live observation to inform player feedback and development planning.
- Prepare concise performance reports and review clips for players and First Team staff.
- Track progress against agreed development benchmarks.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with First Team coaching staff to ensure alignment of expectations and standards.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary discussions around player readiness and progression.
- Support alignment between academy and First Team performance frameworks.
Professional Standards & Culture
- Model high professional standards and behaviours.
- Support players in developing self-awareness, accountability, and resilience.
- Contribute positively to the learning and development culture of the club.
Person Specification
Essential
- UEFA B coaching qualification.
- Experience working with youth or emerging senior players in a professional or elite environment.
- Strong passion for individual player development, with a focus on technical and tactical growth.
- Ability to use data, video analysis, and live observation to inform coaching practice.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel weekly to observe loan players.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Desirable
- The FA Advanced Youth Award (PDP or YDP).
- Experience working within a Professional Development Phase environment boys or girls.
- Knowledge of the Adran Premier and Tier 2 landscape.
- UEFA A qualification.
