The Personal Support Service is a domiciliary care service offering support with all aspects of daily living for customers living within our Independent Living Schemes, 24 hours per day and at night in the local community.

Data input and processing is the main function of this role. Close attention to detail and an understanding of domiciliary care is essential for this post.

Your role will be to ensure staff are allocated to customers and they have all the information needed to be able to provide safe high quality support within a domiciliary care service, comprising of 3 extra care schemes, all of which provide 24hr support and an overnight care service in the community. You will monitor calls and report on any irregularities throughout the service.

The service provides care and support to prodiminantly older people with vaying needs such as dementia and mental health needs. You will be located across the schemes to enable you to gain a good understanding of the service.

This role is suitable as a job share opportunity.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C2: Can express themselves spontaneously at length with a natural conversational flow, avoiding or backtracking around any difficulty so smoothly that the person with whom they are conversing is hardly aware of it.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.

The duties of this post require the postholder to undertake a basic Criminal Record check (unspent convictions only) via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
