About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a residential property located in Rainworth, Mansfield.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the property is professionally managed, tenants are supported, maintenance issues are resolved promptly, and the property remains compliant, well-maintained, and operating efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in residential property management, lettings, estate agency, facilities management, or landlord services who can independently manage property-related matters and act as the local representative for the property owner.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the property.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants and address enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance, repairs, and improvement works.
- Source, schedule, and manage contractors and service providers.
- Conduct regular property inspections and provide detailed reports.
- Monitor the condition of the property and proactively identify maintenance requirements.
- Assist with tenant onboarding, move-ins, move-outs, and property handovers when required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable property regulations and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, contractor work, and tenant communications.
- Manage emergency situations and coordinate timely resolutions.
- Provide recommendations to the property owner regarding maintenance, improvements, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure the property remains safe, presentable, and professionally managed at all times.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience as a Property Manager, Lettings Manager, Estate Agent, Facilities Manager, or in a similar property-related role.
- Strong understanding of residential property management practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage contractors, maintenance projects, and tenant relationships effectively.
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach.
- Reliable transportation and ability to visit the property as required.
- Comfortable using email, WhatsApp, Microsoft Office, and other basic digital tools.
Preferred
- Knowledge of UK landlord and tenant regulations.
- Experience conducting property inspections and preparing reports.
- Existing network of local contractors and tradespeople in the Mansfield or Nottinghamshire area.
- Experience managing residential rental properties.
- Understanding of property compliance requirements in England.
