Role overview

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining interactive and informative dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, report generation, and a deep understanding of business intelligence concepts. This role requires collaboration with various departments to gather requirements and ensure the effective use of Power BI and other ABM & third-party platforms to meet & align operational demands & other innovations.

Main Duties:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI and other dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Data Modelling: Create and maintain efficient data models, including data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including databases, cloud services, and APIs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate and align with business users, clients and third party service partners to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and dashboard solutions.
  • Performance Optimisation: Optimise the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring quick load times and responsive interactions.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on all platforms, functionalities and best practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest Power BI features, tools, industry innovations and best practices to continuously improve reporting, analytics capabilities and client experience.

Desired Experience:

Experience:

  • Education: Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics, with a strong focus on Power BI, dashboards within a client environment

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft BI tools, such as SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS, is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including senior client levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or similar certifications.
  • Experience: Experience in Facilities Management Industry is a plus.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with other data visualization tools and programming languages such as Python or R.
