What you need to know about the role
As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you will provide support to the HSE Director and HSE Management Team by gathering and analysing data on the Health and Safety, Process Safety and Environmental performance of the business.
You will support the HSE Director in the gathering of critical Safety, Process Safety and Environmental data for the business, to prescribed timescales, to align to senior meeting and reporting structure.
You will generate the weekly HS&E report – taking details fed in by the respective teams into one common document, and circulate across the business
You will produce presentations for routine business meetings, to allow an understanding and engagement of key metrics at all levels of the business.
The role involves following up on Incident reporting with plants where further information is required. You will take ownership of the Reporting, Classification and Analysis Process – as defined in BHSI 2011.
General duties will incorporate the development, and communication of critical metrics for the business, SMS Tours scheduling as well as Zero Harm Campaigns development assistance.
You will also be in charge of managing all HS&E historic information and assigning it to appropriate data storage areas.
You will act as a Fire Warden and Departmental Induction owner. Along with the above, you will take ownership of the HSE Information / Action Alert Process, HS&E Mailing Groups and Training Records for the department.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Health and Safety and is willing to challenge people at all levels within the business to work towards and improve health and safety results. We are looking for energy, drive and commitment to work towards taking the business forward.
We are looking for an effective team player, who has attention to detail. You will need to be able to work under pressure, be effective in meeting deadlines and able to inform decision-makers of any potential blocks to effective project execution.
Experience in a similar role is essential, along with an ability to identify improvement opportunities through analysis of data. Relevant vocational qualifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate would be an advantage.
We are looking for someone who is good at analysing situations and who is willing to undergo further IT training as required.
You should also have good communication skills along with the ability to communicate with individuals from all levels within the business.
It is essential that you have excellent writing and numerate skills along with a good level of computer literacy.
