Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Nursing Support Worker to join the nursing team on Ward 4, Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest.

Ward 4 is a 22-bedded ward with an 8-bedded surgical assessment unit caring for General Surgery patients. The ward strives to provide service users with a positive experience and support towards achieving optimised health.

As a Nursing support worker, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team within a positive and patient-centred environment, supporting individuals through health management whilst maintaining high standards in fundamentals of care.

Main duties of the job

There is an opportunity to learn new skills and gain further experience in caring for patients during admission while developing professionally within a positive and challenging environment. This role will require you to undertake delegated clinical observations and to communicate effectively.

The ward operates a variety of shift patterns to suit service requirements, including days/night rotation.
