In this role, you’ll play an important part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Service Centre. You’ll be responsible for making sure all equipment is prepared to a high standard, ready for customers to hire.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure it is in excellent condition
• Inspecting returned equipment and safely storing it in the correct location
• Keeping the yard, workshop and storage areas tidy, organised and safe
• Supporting customers on site by assisting with loading and unloading equipment

To do well as a General Operative, you’ll bring a combination of the following skills and behaviours:

• The ability to carry out physically demanding tasks safely and effectively as part of your day-to-day responsibilities
• A positive team-focused approach, with the willingness to support colleagues where needed
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage your workload and complete tasks within required timescales
• Good customer service skills, with a friendly and helpful approach when interacting with customers
• A flexible mindset, with the openness to learn new skills and take part in ongoing training and development
• An understanding of Health and Safety requirements, with awareness of PPE and COSHH practices considered beneficial
• A full, valid UK driving licence
