Salary: Scale 6, Point 18-22 (£31,537 to £33,699 pa FTE)

Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week, term time only + 2 weeks

Location: NUAST, Nottingham

We are seeking an inspirational Pastoral Support Officer to join our team. You will be a vital presence in school - championing attendance, culture and behaviour and wellbeing, breaking down barriers to learning and helping young people to see possibilities beyond what they thought possible.

Key elements of the role include

  • Building purposeful, trusting relationships that inspire students to aim high and take pride in themselves
  • Providing targeted pastoral support to improve behaviour, attendance and engagement
  • Working closely with families, Heads of Year and external agencies to remove barriers to learning
  • Supporting behaviour interventions, reintegration plans and safeguarding processes
  • Being a visible, proactive presence across the school day, modelling high standards and care
