Full-time Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant Thurrock Integrated Care Team
Are you passionate about helping people regain independence and achieve their rehabilitation goals? We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Thurrock Integrated Care Team (ICT).
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support adults with a wide range of health and social care needs to maximise their independence, improve functional abilities, and remain safely within their own homes and communities.

Based at Thurrock Community Hospital RM16 2PX.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support patients with rehabilitation programmes developed by registered therapists and clinicians.
- Assist individuals to achieve goals relating to mobility, personal care, activities of daily living, and independence.
- Monitor and record patient progress, reporting changes or concerns to the appropriate clinician.
- Encourage and motivate patients to participate in rehabilitation activities.
- Undertake delegated clinical and non-clinical tasks within agreed competencies.
- Support safe moving and handling practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with organisational policies.
- Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, social care colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Promote dignity, choice, safeguarding, and person-centred care at all times.
- Participate in team meetings, training, supervision, and service development activities.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being
properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters
will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will
undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which
will include mandatory training, systems training and the
allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will
have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior
managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on
engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The
induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period.
High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of
5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,346 and a
maximum payment of £2,270 per annum, pro rata for part time)

under the UKVI points-based system. When calculating the basic
salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High-Cost Area Supplement) is not
included to ensure fairness and consistency within our Trust.
