About the Medical Sciences Division
The Medical Sciences Division is the largest of the four Divisions within Oxford University and we are responsible for setting and delivering our own Operational Strategy, within the Oxford University framework. With a research income of over £500m supporting 6,365 staff across 16 unique Departments, there is significant opportunities for the EDI Partner to have an impact on the activity of the Division and its Departments in embedding an inclusive culture for our students, researchers and staff.
A central component of the role is co-ordinate the Athena Swan applications across the Division. Athena Swan is the Charter Mark that was established in 2005 with a focus on promoting and embedding gender equality within the Higher Education Sector, the remit has now expanded to encompass gender equality more broadly and intersectionality also.
