About The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Marketing Assistant to support Heritage Rocks Group during a busy period of growth and delivery across multiple projects. This is a fast-moving role where you’ll help shape and optimise digital content, improve website performance, and support wider marketing activity across the group.
A key focus of this role will be WordPress website management and SEO execution, helping us improve visibility, performance, and user experience across our digital platforms.
What You'll be Doing
You’ll be working closely with the marketing lead(s) to:
- Update, manage, and optimise WordPress websites across the group
- Implement on-page SEO improvements (metadata, headings, internal linking, keyword optimisation)
- Support content uploads, page builds, and website improvements
- Help improve site structure, UX, and conversion flow
- Assist with SEO audits and reporting (Google Search Console / analytics tools)
- Support blog content creation and optimisation for search
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously within the group
- Assist with general marketing tasks as required (campaign support, content formatting, etc.)
What We're Looking For
You’ll need to be confident in both website management and SEO fundamentals.
Essential:
- Proven experience using WordPress (self-editing, page building, plugins, content management)
- Solid understanding of SEO (on-page SEO, keyword usage, metadata, internal linking)
- Experience working on live websites (not just academic/projects)
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines
Desirable:
- Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs
- Basic HTML/CSS understanding (helpful but not essential)
- Experience in a marketing, content, or digital role
- Background in multi-site or multi-brand organisations
