Head of NHS Product & Technology

Cerina Health

Cerina Health is a small, ambitious digital health company based in Cambridge. We build digital infrastructure that connects people to the right care, faster. Our products span mental health and wellness, primary care, acute, and community pathways, and are deployed directly with NHS ICBs across England. We have just secured a new round of investor funding, we have live contracts, a strong pipeline, and we are growing.

We are a tight-knit team. That means no layers, no committees, and no waiting six months for your ideas to be heard. This role carries real weight. You will shape how our products are built and where they go next, and the leadership team will be listening.

Reporting to the COO, you will own our product roadmap and technical delivery. You will spend two days a week in our Cambridge office and have genuine influence over the direction of the company.

What you'll do

• Lead product strategy and roadmap across our digital infrastructure portfolio, including conversational AI triage, referral routing, and digital therapeutics

• Own technical delivery, working with our UK engineering team and managing our offshore development team in India

• Translate clinical and commissioner requirements into clear product decisions across mental health, acute, and community settings

• Drive NHS integration work including EPR connectivity, referral pathways, and data infrastructure

• Represent product and technology at board, investor, and ICB level

• Build and grow the product and engineering function as we scale

What we're looking for

• Proven product leadership in digital health with clear, demonstrable experience delivering in an NHS environment. This is essential

• Experience managing offshore or distributed engineering teams. This is a firm requirement for this role

• Strong technical grounding, comfortable with AI/ML, APIs, and clinical data standards such as HL7 and FHIR

• Understanding of NHS commissioning, procurement, and how digital infrastructure gets adopted at scale

• Commercially aware, able to think about product in the context of contracts, pipeline, and growth

• An excellent communicator, equally at home with clinicians, commissioners, and developers

Why this role

• Freshly funded and growing. Your decisions will shape the company, not just your team

• Direct line to the COO and CEO. No middle layers, no politics, just honest conversation

• Live NHS contracts and a serious pipeline. This is real traction, not a pilot

• Senior advisor Dame Patricia Hewitt lending weight to our NHS relationships

• Competitive salary, flexible working, and an equity stake in the business
