Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Office Based, Full Time in Colchester (CO2), Essex

Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.15pm

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Credit Controller to join the Greenmill Team! You will cover a wide range of day-to-day tasks whilst reporting to the Credit Manager, alongside working with a friendly Finance Team to provide financial assistance to both internal and external customers. Currently the Finance Team at Greenmill is around 5 people and growing!

What does the role look like?

• Responsible for managing the collection of all debts
• Daily queries such as contacting customers for remittances, obtaining proof of deliveries, and sending copy invoices/credit notes
• Releasing of orders – Liaising with customers and the sales team
• Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks
• Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks
• Notify debtors by telephone call and email of upcoming or outstanding invoices
• Make notifications in client accounts of interactions, such as payments or purchasing activities.
• Establish and maintain regular communications with customers to facilitate regular payments
• Taking card payments over the phone
• Other duties as instructed by the Credit Manager

Skills required

• Experience of a minimum of 1 year in a credit control position
• OR part qualified CICM/AAT
