Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Care Assistant (Relief/Bank) to work on-site at Stones Place, Lincoln on a contractual basis. This role provides senior-level care support within a healthcare environment, ensuring residents receive high-quality assistance with daily living activities and personal care. The position requires a commitment to dignity, respect, and compassion in supporting vulnerable individuals, with duties varying based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents at Stones Place, Lincoln, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily living tasks.
• Lead and support care teams in delivering safe and effective care plans under supervision, ensuring compliance with care standards and organisational policies.
• Conduct regular checks and assessments of residents’ health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, resident observations, and medication administration as required.
• Assist in emergency situations or during shift handovers, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to safeguarding procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification, with proven experience in a senior care assistant or senior care worker role.
• Current registration with the Care Certificate or willingness to complete within probation period, alongside relevant training such as safeguarding and infection control.
• Experience leading small teams or coordinating care activities in a residential care setting, with a focus on resident dignity and independence.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with residents, families, and healthcare professionals in a sensitive environment.
• Flexibility to work a variable shift pattern including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with availability to cover relief shifts at short notice.
