Role Overview

A contractual Cook position is available at Stones Place, Lincoln, responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a high-volume kitchen environment. This role requires adherence to food safety standards, efficient use of kitchen equipment, and collaboration with a team to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes in a fast-paced setting. The position is essential to maintaining operational excellence and guest satisfaction in a hospitality-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, ensuring portion control and presentation standards are met.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen stations, equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety regulations.

• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excesses to kitchen management to support stock management.

• Follow strict food safety protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature control of ingredients.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service and adherence to kitchen workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook or Kitchen Assistant in a commercial kitchen environment.

• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and menu execution within a hospitality setting.

• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices, including HACCP or equivalent standards.

• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume kitchen while maintaining attention to detail.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25kg as required by the role.
