Business Development Manager

Leyton

Your sales skills belong here — whatever industry you're coming from.

If you know how to open doors, build relationships, and close deals, we want to talk. At Leyton, we're not looking for someone who's already worked in tax or finance — we're looking for someone who's brilliant at winning new business and ready to do something genuinely meaningful with that talent.

We help UK businesses claim the government-backed funding they're already entitled to — through R&D tax credits, capital allowances, and other innovation incentives. It's a compelling, consultative sale with real impact, and our Manchester team is growing.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll own your pipeline from prospecting to close — identifying opportunities, getting in front of the right decision-makers (think CFOs, Finance Directors, and MDs), and bringing new clients on board. Once you've won the business, you'll hand off to our expert delivery team, so you can focus on what you do best: selling.

Day To Day, That Looks Like

Building and working a targeted prospect list through outreach, networking, and referrals

Running consultative conversations with senior stakeholders to uncover fit and communicate value

Leading proposals and presentations that land

Managing your pipeline accurately in our CRM

Staying across market trends to sharpen your commercial edge

Hitting — and ideally beating — quarterly and annual revenue targets

What We're Looking For

At least 2 years' experience in a new business sales role — industry doesn't matter, hunger does

A track record of closing, not just generating leads

Comfortable selling at C-suite or senior finance level

Self-starter who can manage their own territory and time

Curious, commercially minded, and motivated by results

What You'll Get

A high-value, consultative product that sells itself once clients understand it

Full training and onboarding — no tax knowledge required on day one

Competitive base salary + uncapped commission

The backing of a global business (3,000 people, €400m turnover) with an entrepreneurial culture

Why Belfast?

Belfast has become a growing hub for business, technology, and financial services, offering strong career opportunities within a well-connected and collaborative city.

How We Started
