Role Overview

This role provides overnight care assistance to residents at a residential facility in Langholme, Falmouth. You will deliver dignified, person-centred support during night shifts, ensuring safety, comfort, and quality of care. This work contributes to the wellbeing of individuals with varied care needs in a structured healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one overnight care to residents, responding to their needs with sensitivity and professionalism.

• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing throughout the night, including vital signs and behavioural changes.

• Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and toileting as required.

• Complete accurate records of observations, activities, and incidents in line with care plan requirements.

• Communicate effectively with daytime staff to ensure continuity of care and handover of relevant information.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.

• At least two years’ experience in a care assistant role within a residential or nursing setting.

• Current registration with the Care Quality Commission or relevant registration body where applicable.

• Ability to work autonomously during night shifts with minimal supervision.

• Strong verbal communication skills and the capacity to maintain accurate written records.
