Role Overview

This role involves ensuring safety and emergency preparedness for patrons at a facility requiring on-site lifeguard services. The position requires vigilant monitoring of aquatic or recreational areas, enforcing safety protocols, and responding to incidents. Work matters as it protects individuals from harm and maintains compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas for potential hazards or unsafe behaviors and intervene immediately when risks are identified.

• Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment, water quality, and surrounding environments to ensure compliance with established standards.

• Perform rescue operations in emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR as needed, while coordinating with emergency response teams.

• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and training drills for regulatory reporting and audits.

• Enforce facility rules and safety policies to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment for all visitors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Current certification in lifeguarding from a recognized organization such as the Red Cross or equivalent.

• Valid CPR and first aid certifications with practical demonstration of skills.

• Proven ability to remain alert and focused during extended periods of surveillance.

• Strong communication skills to provide clear instructions and coordinate with staff during emergencies.

• Familiarity with pool or aquatic facility operations and emergency action plans.
