Role Overview

This is a contractual position overseeing daily operations of a residential care home in Chippenham. The Home Manager ensures a safe, high-quality environment for residents while managing staff and compliance with regulations. The role requires leadership in care delivery, financial oversight, and regulatory adherence within the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day operations of the care home, including staffing, budgets, and resident care standards.

• Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and local health authority requirements.

• Lead and develop a team of care staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

• Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, expenditure control, and reporting.

• Maintain high standards of resident safety, wellbeing, and quality of life through regular assessments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in care home management or a senior care role with full responsibility for operations.

• Registered Manager status or eligibility for registration with the Care Quality Commission.

• Strong understanding of CQC standards and adult social care regulations.

• Experience in budget management, financial reporting, and staff supervision.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust with residents, families, and regulators.
