Role Overview
This role requires a Senior Care Assistant to provide overnight care at a residential facility in Ellesmere Port. You will oversee the wellbeing of residents during night shifts, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to care plans. This position is essential in maintaining high standards of support for vulnerable individuals in a structured healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver personal care, assistance with mobility, and medication support to residents overnight.
• Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in health or wellbeing.
• Complete detailed care notes and report any concerns to daytime staff for follow-up.
• Support residents with night-time routines, including toileting, hydration, and repositioning.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or related field.
• Previous experience working nights in a care setting, preferably with elderly or vulnerable individuals.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and infection control standards.
• Ability to work independently, assess situations calmly, and make appropriate decisions.
• Valid DBS check and willingness to work flexible shift patterns including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
