Role Overview
This position involves providing on-site lifeguard services at aquatic facilities. The role requires vigilant monitoring of swimmers, enforcing safety protocols, and responding to emergencies. Ensuring a safe environment for all guests is the primary responsibility, with adherence to industry standards critical to the operation.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor all pool areas to identify potential hazards and prevent accidents before they occur.
• Perform regular safety inspections of rescue equipment, including lifebuoys and first aid kits, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent unsafe behaviors among swimmers.
• Execute emergency response procedures, including water rescues and CPR, in accordance with certified training.
• Maintain accurate incident reports and communicate all safety concerns to management immediately.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization such as the Red Cross or Ellis & Associates.
• Valid CPR and first aid certifications meeting current industry standards.
• Ability to swim 300 yards continuously while demonstrating strong endurance and technique.
• Proven experience in lifeguarding or a related aquatic safety role, with at least 1 year of on-the-job training.
• Excellent situational awareness and quick decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
