Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Care Assistant (Relief) based at Homewood, Royal Leamington Spa to work on a contractual basis. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to residents in a residential care setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. The work is essential in maintaining the wellbeing of individuals who require assistance with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, with dignity and respect.

• Assist residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.

• Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to promote their mental and emotional wellbeing.

• Monitor health and wellbeing of residents, promptly reporting any concerns to senior staff.

• Maintain accurate records of care provided and resident observations in line with care plans.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.

• Have at least two years of experience working in a care setting, preferably in a senior or relief capacity.

• Demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents.

• Show compassion and patience when supporting individuals with varying needs and abilities.

• Be able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and nights as required.
