Becket Primary School wish to appoint an outstanding Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is passionate about supporting teaching and learning and meeting the needs of all learners, with a particular focus on SEND.
September 2026 marks a significant and exciting new chapter for Becket Primary School as we move into a brand-new, purpose-built school building. This modern environment has been designed to fully support high-quality teaching and inclusive practice, featuring state-of-the-art technology, flexible learning spaces, and specialist areas to enhance provision for pupils with SEND. The new building provides an inspiring setting for both pupils and staff, with well-equipped classrooms, improved accessibility, and dedicated spaces for targeted interventions and personalised learning. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team at a pivotal moment and help shape practice in a forward-thinking, well-resourced environment.
The ideal candidate will support pupils with complex SEND needs to access an inclusive education through a bespoke mix of classroom learning alongside targeted, adapted provision. They will deliver planned learning activities, support the implementation of personalised programmes, and work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and wider staff to ensure pupils' needs are met. Pupils' needs include communication and interaction, ASD, and complex needs.
The successful candidate will be a creative, nurturing individual dedicated to ensuring that pupils have a positive learning journey and are supported to achieve their aspirations.
