About the client

Our client is a growing and innovative retail brand, known for delivering high-quality products and an exceptional customer experience. With a strong focus on presentation and attention to detail, they are committed to maintaining a clean, welcoming, and professional environment for both customers and employees.

An opportunity has arisen for a Cleaning Operative to join the team, helping to ensure the store and staff areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a positive environment by ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-presented at all times.

Hours of work: Contracted to 10.5 hours per week, working Monday to Sunday from 08:00 to 09:30.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the store to a high standard
• Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting throughout the premises
• Cleaning staff facilities, welfare areas, and washrooms
• Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly
• Cleaning windows, mirrors, fixtures, and fittings as required
• Ensuring shop floor areas remain clean, presentable, and welcoming for customers
• Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting any shortages
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, or damage to management
• Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and in accordance with company procedures
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation throughout the site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
• Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
