CCS Meadow View Park is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join their team.

You will support pupils with SEMH and SEND needs to access learning, develop their social and emotional skills, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally. Working closely with teachers and therapists, the role is focused on helping create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment where pupils can thrive and feel secure.

Your Responsibilities

The role involves providing 1-2-1 and small group support, assisting pupils in accessing learning activities and encouraging their social development. The Teaching Assistant will help manage complex and challenging behaviours in a positive and consistent way, using patience and strong communication skills. You will work collaboratively with staff to support teaching and learning and contribute to maintaining a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment for all pupils.

What You Will Need

  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and maths (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH, SEND or behavioural support settings
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to undertake further training and therapeutic development.

We are a trauma and attachment-informed organisation supporting children and young people with SEMH needs, many of whom also have additional SEND such as Autism, ADHD and communication difficulties. Our child-centred approach ensures strong teamwork between staff, therapists, families and external agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for every learner. As part of Compass Community, we are a growing national organisation that values staff development and provides a supportive environment where you can make a real difference and build your career.

What We Will Offer You

You will be joining a highly supportive and rewarding working environment where staff are valued and developed. There are clear opportunities to grow your career within an expanding national organisation that recognises talent, effort and potential, with pathways into leadership roles.

We provide extensive training and professional development, including opportunities to gain recognised qualifications, alongside regular therapeutic and supportive supervision. You will also benefit from small class sizes with specialist support, a competitive salary, flexible pension options and a strong employee benefits package including wellbeing services and salary sacrifice schemes.
