We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join Eden’s Children’s Residential Home. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality, consistent care for children and young people while supporting a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes positive development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the care team during shifts
• Act as the senior point of contact, ensuring smooth handovers and consistent care delivery
• Ensure care plans are implemented effectively and tailored to each child’s needs
• Promote a positive, safeguarding-focused and child-centred team culture
• Maintain accurate and timely records of care and progress
• Work collaboratively with families, schools, social workers, and external professionals
• Support staff development through mentoring, supervision, and guidance
• Monitor and review care plans, contributing to continuous improvement
• Support compliance with Ofsted requirements and inspections
• Assist management in maintaining high standards across the home

Requirements

• Experience in a leadership or senior role within children’s residential care
• NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or working towards it)
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted regulations
• Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
• Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour support (desirable)
• Ability to manage challenging situations and emergencies
• Safeguarding and Child Protection training
• Enhanced DBS clearance
