What we’re looking for

We're looking for a Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day activities of our Finance team during a period of maternity cover.

Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting a range of finance processes across the business. You'll be responsible for administering day-to-day financial transactions, supporting the sales and purchase ledgers, assisting with credit control activities, and ensuring information within our finance systems remains accurate and up to date.

You'll process and check invoices, support supplier payments, prepare bank reconciliations, and respond to internal and external finance queries in a professional and timely manner. You'll also work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure processes are followed consistently, while identifying opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.

This role would suit someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, whilst taking ownership of their responsibilities.

About you

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business and gain valuable experience within a supportive finance function.

You'll have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage tasks accurately and efficiently. You'll be confident communicating with colleagues, clients and suppliers, both verbally and in writing, and able to exercise sound judgement and initiative when required.

Ideally, you'll have some previous experience in a finance-related role and be comfortable using Excel, although this is not essential. More importantly, you'll bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

You'll thrive in a team environment, enjoy building strong working relationships, and take pride in supporting the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations.
