Lecturer - Early Years

Bolton College

The College is looking to appoint a Lecturer A in Early Years to teach across the Level 1 to Level 3 provision. You will be responsible for managing the learning process to ensure high quality provision leading to individual student success.

Ideally, you will:

  • Hold a relevant professional qualification (minimum Level 3)
  • Possess a PGCE / Cert. Ed. Level 5 teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards
  • Hold GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4/C or above or equivalent
  • Have experience of working within the Early Years sector
  • Have experience of leading of leading students to the successful completion of their course
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to manage and prioritise

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Ability to communicate with a range of young people and adults on both theoretical and practical aspects
  • Demonstrate the ability to build good relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including students and employers
  • Demonstrate values and behaviours suitable to work with students and within the team
  • To implement creative and inspirational teaching and learning strategies
  • Work under pressures with changing priorities with good organisational and administrative skills
